I finally did it. After more than twenty years with long hair, it's gone. In the last year I've gone from hair halfway down my back to just past shoulder length to very short today. Damn it feels good to be rid of it! New me, new hair! :eusa_danc Funny that most of my kids have never seen me with short hair. (!)(!)
That's awesome! I remember how liberating it was for me when I cut my hair short. Didn't last long though, it's now shoulder-length again and I don't think I'll cut it short again. It requires more frequent visits to the hairdresser. With long hair, I only need to go every few months to have the dead ends cut off
It only cost $26 for a complete restyle so I can justify keeping it nice and short. I've been wanting to do it for ages and the girl took a lot of time making sure it was the way I wanted it. Short hair suits me better, and i was hiding behind the long hair anyway. Good riddance! It feels like another step in coming out as the person I really am
Yay! I hope it turned out well~~ I did a big chop several years ago and loved it, too~ I recommend driving with the windows down and feeling the wind through your new do ^.^ That was my favorite thing to do with short hair, haha~~
I recently cut my hair too. All I can say is that the fact that I don't have to wake up 30 minutes earlier to do my hair makes it all worth it. xD
Lol oh yes! Ten minutes to dry it instead of an hour? And another bonus, ten minutes to dye it instead of half an hour. Begone damn greys!
Grats! I know plenty of women cut their hair when they get older - basically stop caring and do it for practical reasons, as well. Myself, I think I've found a nice medium between bald and Rapunzel:
