<3 Power Surges - Empty Closets - A safe online community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered people coming out

So, about 30 minutes ago, heard a THUD which sounded like it came from upstairs, then all of the sudden, power surge knocks internet out, and lights flicker. Happens again 2 more times in about a minute. I go upstairs, maybe mom or sister accidentally tripped and ripped something out of the wall or such, to check they're ok, nothing.

Get back downstairs, other sister calls (City dispatcher) Telling me that there's a high speed chase going on, and one of the police officers collided with a telephone pole, and knocked out power to the surrounding area. (Ours). However, my block is on a seperate power grid from the people around us, so for like the 3rd time in a row, we kept our power XD

So yea :3 First Newsworthy thing to happen here in years.

Haha, no, it's not a SMALL town, it's on most US maps, but it's still decently quiet :P

I think the last newsworthy thing that happened here was that murderer who turned in the torso of one of his victims to the police station like 10 years ago <_<, turning himself in XD And that was about 20 miles away lol.

I'm pretty sure a power surge from a storm knocked out my old computer's speakers... They suddenly stopped working after we had left the computer on overnight.

i murder happens in my city every night. if not more that one. >_< but i dont think those people turn themselves in

that's nothing, in philly there are at least two murders a day, in fact some people have started calling the city killadelphia.
