Is it just me, or is deciding wether you have a crush on someone or you're just admiring them Really hard? For example: Jennifer Lawrence is After my opinion one of the Most gorgeos people ever and she has great opinions on things like liking your own Body. So, is that a crush or an Idol?
I can't say for sure, but honestly I do agree it's hard to distinguish between crush and heavy admiration. Quite a few guys (I'm assuming this is celebrities/famous people yeah?) are my idols, and I admire them a lot. I don't have a crush on all of them though. Honestly it's harder to tell when they're famous, because put in an actual situation with them you don't always know how you're going to feel. I guess if you daydream about dating them or sleeping with them a lot, and you're attracted to them (body, personality, etc), it's probably a bit further than admiration. But if you just look up to them and want to be them, or like listening to what they say, maybe you just admire them. It's not always very black and white from personal experience Also: it can be both.

I agree. An example for me would be that I greatly admire/idolize David Tennant (for various reasons) to the point that some think I have a crush on him. I was trying to ask myself if I did, because it doesn't "feel like a crush" as with other, obviously gorgeous, people. The bottom line is, I've decided, is... Would you kiss/date/you-know-what with said person if given the opportunity (consequence free)? If yes then a crush. If not, and you'd just like to spend time with them and observe or get to know them, then it is admiration/idolization.

For me, it's difficult to idolize someone without developing a crush on them. Unless they're really old or something.
Crush for me is if u want to spend the day with them for the rest of your life and cant live without them xoxoxoxo ! I admire Freddie Mercury, not crushing on him 8)
