The title's pretty self explanatory but how did you first find EC? Also, what led you to join at first?

Personally, I was really confused about my sexuality so I google searched something like "Is it normal to not like anyone?" and it led me to a thread on EC that actually made me feel better.
It took me a little while to join because I was afraid to (I guess because I'd never gone on a social media type site without my parents knowing) but I was getting increasingly more confused so I decided to and I'm really glad I did because it's helped me so much and I've met a lot of really great people!

I joined EC because I wanted to join a community of people who were like me. I also wanted to do my part in helping people who are struggling with their sexual identity, and I really do hope I made somewhat of a difference.

I joined because I was looking for a local support group and failing so I started looking for forums. Found one Aussie one, which required written registration and proof of ID and paid membership etc etc and thought oh hell no (and seems to be primarily aimed at men too) so kept on looking. Then found here and so glad I did. I was in desperate need of help and this place has helped me figure out so much. I'm not sure I could have coped without it.

I was confused about my sexuality at the time and searching up stuff. Stumbled upon EC, spent quite a long time reading threads, and then decided to sign up. Here we are, and no regrets.

I joined EC in August 2014 for the first time (I used to have another account). At that time I had already accepted my sexuality, but I wasn't out to anybody. I was looking for a LGBT+ site where I could know other LGBT+ people and make friends, share stories, etc. I think I didn't join EC immediately. First I wanted to know the forum better. When I realised it was a safe place and the members were nice, I joined EC.

It has helped me in the process of coming out and I've met amazing people.

I was googling about sexual orientation and questioning. I clicked a link that lead me to these forums. Best click ever.

I needed support but I didn't have access to any groups in person, so I went searching for an online community. EC has been very helpful

I went through a questioning phase, and Googled "LGBT support forums" and EC was one of the results

Orphans were sacrificed, thus I was summoned.

Seriously, I came across various threads, usually when browsing or looking up stuff. Over time, a few of the stories touched me, so I joined. Things kind of went from there.

I was feeling kinda...confused about my sexuality, mainly because I didn't have people to talk to about it. After a looong time I decided to google LGBT support sites. Best decision ever.

I wanted somewhere to talk about my sexuality to feel more comfortable with it. I googled "LGBT forum" and this was the first thing I clicked on.

mine was purely accidental. i like designing things on my laptop so i was looking for a picture of an empty closet. was trying to design something creative for a fashion store. so the first item on the image list was two guys holding each other and it captured my attention since they looked so cute together. i clicked on the link attached and VOILA. Joined in like two seconds. Love you all

When I joined, I wasn't really looking for support - I knew I was gay and was out to a number of people by the time I discovered this site. But this has sort of been my outlet to the LGBT community at large. I have handful of gay friends, but other than attending pride and the odd LGBT event, I'm not really a member of the community locally.

I used to post on another forum and probably 1/3 of the forum was gay, so gay issues came up a lot. I used to love those posts so I decided to find a gay forum and it's how I stumbled on this site.

I stumbled across here through a recommendation from a Facebook page, posting various support networks, I believe.

I googled "lgbt forum", and chose the one with the most active members.
    Aaaaand here I am :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

What led me to do so was the fact that I was (still am lol) confused about my sexuality, and I was feeling lonely because I had no one to talk to about it, and especially no one who could truly understand it.
    That's when I found this place! ^_^

I've known about this forum for quite some time but completely forgot about it after a while. On another forum someone mentioned EC and since I was going through a bit of a rough patch I decided to come and lurk though was a bit nervous to begin with. After that I decided to join and here I am.
