Be honest with me... Had an interesting conversation with a lesbian friend of mine and it makes me wonder. Why? Would like your thoughts, I know it's a loaded question and it depends on the person... but I'm still a woman...

The stereotype that a bi person will get bored of their partners gender and cheat on them with someone of another gender, basically =/

There always seems to be a stigma from either gay or straight people that those who are bisexual can't hold a monogamous relationship which is far from true. There will be those from a variety of different sexualities who may nor may not be interested in holding down such a relationship.

Personally I wouldn't care what sexuality a person is so long as they'd be happy to spend their life with me.

If I liked someone enough to date her, whether she was bi or lesbian wouldn't change a thing.

I've heard of this and seen many lesbian women who follow the 'no-bisexuals allowed' thing. :/ It kinda sucks :frowning2: Hopefully, it's going to become less common in the near future

I'm sure there are a number of "reasons" and rationalizations but there isn't a good reason. Not all of us feel like that though, I certainly don't

Someone who tells you that they won't date you because you're bi? That's their damage and they are missing out on you so that's also their loss, a BIG loss too! I'm sure you'll find someone awesome ^^

More than just lesbians and bisexual women. It's goes for monosexual individuals being reticent to date multisexual people, in general.

This so much, bi men face the same thing with gay men.

If a woman loved me, I would date her regardless of her sexuality. It would probably be more annoying for her than for me; I can't obsess over her guy crushes with her XD

To be honest, the lesbians who say that are freaking idiots.

I'd date a bisexual girl. In fact I seem to be attracted to bi girls than totally gay girls xD

It's biphobia at it's finest. If you are a lesbian and refuse to date a bi girl or a gay man and refuse to date a bi boy then to me, you are a hypocrite.

I've always found these kinds of things inane. You'd think people within the lgbt community wouldn't be so quick to judge, and would understand how inaccurate stereotypes can be.

I find it insane that a woman, or man for that matter, would be so quickly deterred from a possible relationship over someone being bisexual.

I would date anyone as long as they're awesome people and love me as much as I love them :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I'm guessing the gay people against that are scared that they secretly like the opposite gender more..? It's understandable I guess but doesn't justify all the hate they get :/

It's quite surprising how many people within the lgbt community judge others over inaccurate stereotypes.

It makes sense if you think about it.

There's a sense of control and security in the LGBT community, that we don't often have in the general population. Some folks, instead of being mature or progressive with their feelings or issues, take it out on others. Basically, the bullied become the bullies, in an attempt to 'get back' at what they perceive as unfair or a wrong.

It doesn't cover every situation, but it is something I've noticed in a lot of them.
