I'd say my father, but it's pretty equal.

My dad doesn't really see me anymore, and my mom is supportive.

I said both, but I'm close with each for different reasons. I'm close with my mom in that I can tell her most things, but I'm definitely a daddy's girl.

A week ago, I would have said my mom, but right now it's pretty equal. I'm not exactly on the best terms with either of them...

Father. Never really got along very well with my mother, though it's been going better as of late?

Haven't seen my father in about 14 years, so I'd have to say my mother.

He contacted my mother about 3 years ago, and wanted to see me and my sister, but I wasn't interested, and my sister was actually very angry that my mother agreed to speak to him. Personally I'm just indifferent to his existence - and to me it's a case of not being able to miss something you never really had.

I was really close to my mother growing up - I think there was some sort of dependency because my mother didn't do a lot other than spend time with me. Around 11 or so I just wanted to be on my own or with friends and she didn't like that. I still loved her but I didn't worship the ground she walked on like I did as a young child.

Gosh, everything I post ends up being some sort of essay.. lol.

On an emotional level, definitely my father. My mom is more the sort not to show much weakness, and I've perhaps seen her cry once or twice in my lifetime. Still, she's very understanding in her way, and has great inner (and outer) strength and endurance, which I've learned are valuable things.

My mom is my best friend. My dad is a narcissistic alcoholic.

Mommy. Can't stand my father. I honestly see most of my friends as more father figures.

The lack of "Father" or "Both" as an option is extremely sad to see. I'm glad I have both parents that I'm close to.

Both are badass on their own way. I'm very proud of both.

My mother coddled me a lot more. I was her baby, her little daughter, and (though I did nothing to deserve it) her favorite. She was very protective of me, and growing up I told her everything -- what school was like, what my friends were like, when I was bullied, etc, etc.

I've always had a slight preference for my father, and she knows it, but my father is calm and reserved, whereas my mother is emotional and open, so I was closer to her. We started growing apart when my father moved away temporarily, and that process is still ongoing.

    Neither, unfortunately.

My parents are wonderful people, but I do not have a close relationship with them. Our relationships, I'd say, are founded on a tilted level of respect, and mutually obligatory love.
