Anyone else getting odd little errors? Double posts, &C. ?

    I was wondering if anyone else is having troubles with the site freezing up when you post. Often, this leads to a double post when it does go though, or when I refresh the page, or go back and reload the site from the beginning page.

    I guess maybe it's part of the work being done?

    Also, on some of the threads, it's as if there's more pages than posts...the last post might seem to be, say, on page 44, but is really on page 42.

    Again, these things are by no means all that much of a problem, but I wonder how many others have been having things happens.

    (Note: Happens from work, a Chromebook, and a computer at home. (all using Chrome))

    The same happens with me quite frequently. Though I just thought it was my crappy tablet...

    It's not just you, it's the site.

    You never know when you hit submit whether your post is gonna turn into an abomination of meshed duplicates. Loading times slow down to a crawl occasionally too. I have asked around, and other users seem to have similar problems. Nothing dealbreaking, but it's a little annoying; like when I want to edit a post, the page can take so long loading by the time it's done I can't edit anymore. Small nuisances in the grand scheme of things, but they are there.

    Ah, so it's not my own technological ineptitude! I also have trouble getting the site to load and it times out on occasion.

    As Mr. R. Snake points out, it's the 'edit' function that is probably the most frustrating, especially as a person who makes a ton of typos and mistakes, and often needs to edit :slight_smile:

    Yeah, I mostly post on my iPhone (Safari) so I thought it was my phone. But on my computer (iMac, Firefox) I've also noticed that there's sometimes double posts, a long wait (more than a few seconds) for the post to be submitted, and the phantom pages haha.

    But, if I recall, the phantom pages were there before the catastrophic (BC, Before Catastrophy) loss of data when there was a notice that there were "issues" with the ISP. However, even after the catastrophic data loss (AC, After Catastrophy) the phantom pages are still there.

    I was afraid some of my double posts are because I'm being impatient and accidentally hitting 'Post quick reply' twice. Glad that it's not just me! I don't think I've ever had these problems when using 'Go Advanced' (reply)

    Yes, it happens to me when it's taking a long time to load to I press it again to make sure I sent it, so it thinks I wanted to send it twice.

    Yes. I've gotten a few double posts and sometimes it'll seem like my post is going to post, when the page stops loading..but if they're trying to fix it, then I'll remain patient :slight_smile:

    Thanks. It was no huge ordeal by any means, and I'm very grateful for all the work you folks do---but I had to see if maybe it was my own bad technology luck at work once again!

    This right here. I thought it was my internet, too, but now my internet is flying and I'm still having problems.
