Hello my beautiful messes. Like the title says above, people who love to sleep too much can relate too: waking up after sleeping and automatically feeling tired again.
ヽ(´▽`)/ヽ(´▽`)/ヽ(´▽`)/ it happens to me all the time

The reason I wake up is because I know that I can go to sleep again when the day is over.

Also being able to sleep all the time like waking up and going back to sleep apparently that's hard to some people? Like my friends always say they can't do that because they can't fall asleep lol but I don't understand... I could sleep all day :icon_redf

Hehe, this happened to me today. I woke up at almost 3:00 after staying up so late friday night, and I'm still super tired now!

I can relate, I sleep so much and I'm usually tired because of it. I need to get into a more stable sleep pattern again.

True. I could easily sleep for 10+ hours and still wake up tired. I'd say its because I'm not a morning person, but I'm really just not a waking up person.... so tiring. Should probably have a better sleep schedule but I'm too lazy to do it tbh

I sleep a lot of the time, and most of my waking day is spent just waiting for the moment I can go back to sleep tbh :lol:

Maybe you have chronic fatigue syndromes.

I always wake up tired no matter how much I sleep. My mom has figured out the sweetest and most gentle way of forcefully dragging me out of bed when she gets tired of waking me up.

I enjoy sleeping, but if I sleep for too long, I wake up feeling groggy. 10 hours is around the ideal amount of sleep for me.

I remember sleeping for 15 hours once, and I woke up feeling tired.

8 hours is perfect. I feel awful if I sleep 9 or 10 hours. I'm (more) grouchy if I get less than 7 hours and I'm aggressive if I get less than 6 hours >_>

This is me as well sometimes.

Sometimes though it's also how well you time your sleep, sleep cycles and all. Wasn't there research done that said if you wake up in the middle of a sleep cycle/deep sleep you're much more tired than if you wake up at the end or beginning of a sleep cycle? So like, 7 hours might feel worse than 6 if 6 is just the amount of time it takes to get through a few sleep cycles in their entirety, and 7 wakes you up in the middle of the latter stages or REM stage of sleep.
As for naps apparently you should just either take a very short nap (15-20 minutes), or a long long one, because sleeping for just long enough to get into deep sleep just to wake yourself up in the middle of it can also make you feel more tired than when you started.

Better sleep patterns and diet might make this less of an issue, but I'm guilty of not being too adequate in either of those areas

I know, that feel when you are up at 10am already, then it feels cool and you just want to snuggle your blanket and your mind drifting away, not wanting to think about all the responsibilities and work waiting...

i go through periods when i can't sleep for 24 ~ 36 hrs. then i crash & burn for 18 hrs or so. i wake up still tired. drs say stiil feeling tired is a sign of too much sleep at once.

I never go to sleep at night but i can never wake up in the morning.

If, by chance, I happen to wake up in the morning, i will need a cup of tea within the first 5 minutes or... back to sleep!
