I feel like I'm the only one! I mean, I wouldn't want a really long one that causes any big inconveniences but I think they can be kind of fun. It's like a change in routine and you kind of get to be closer to your family since you can't all go watch tv and use the internet. Also, when it's a big winter storm my neighbors share generators and it's just nice to see everyone being like that. It also just reminds me of power outages when I was younger. I don't know, anyone else?

I'm all right with it. It's fun every once in a while, but it really depends, especially on the weather. Like right now, if the power went I'd be PISSED. I'd be so cold. My house freezes to the point where I could see my breath in my own bedroom if we don't turn on the heater.

YESSSSSS! I love power outages so much. That was like the only time my brothers would do anything with me. We used play board games and stuff and we had to use a candle for light. My dad built a stupid generator though, so now we never have power outages:frowning2:

Edit: I forgot about nighttime. I hate the dark, so it's better when the power comes on before bed.

Depends; if it's during the day, it can be refreshing to unplug from technology for a bit.

If it's at night (when I use a fan to sleep) or on football matchdays? Then it becomes a hindrance to my everyday life. If I can't sleep or I miss a match, I turn into 160 pounds of angry half-German bastard and it's not pretty.

I used to until we got a bad ice storm in 09. We were out of power for 2 weeks. Some were out for almost a month. Thankfully we were able to make it to my Dad's who had a fireplace. I remember the ice cracking and the transformers exploding over night.

now whenever we have a power outage I think of that. *shivers*

I hate not having an internet connection but...

It's so darn fun to sneak up behind everyone and scare them in the pitch black dark.

I like the darkness. It is peaceful. There always seem to be so many bright lights everywhere, and it gives me anxiety. I love it when they go away.

I don't mind them. During the day, id lounge and read. At night, I would have to have a candle burning in my room, considering I still sleep with a night light.

They're okay as long as i get hot water and heat. It shouldn't last for very long...right?

The last time I experienced a power outage was about 13 years ago.. it was dark outside and I was in my bedroom, so for everything to just suddenly go pitch black was a little freaky to a 7 year old..

Having worked in the utility business fielding power outage calls from miserable people, all I can say is.....where were you? This is another reason why I love LGBT people.

Enjoy? More like I am used to it  Here, it's like happening once or twice a month  I dont like it happening at day because it's freaking hot. Power outage during night is the best! It happened to us recently and you know what I did? I laid down on top of out car and watch the stars while listening to Blur songs. It's peaceful

Ah no. Two years ago, we had an ice storm a week and a half before Christmas which knocked out power for a good portion of the state. Not only were we living on a generator for a week (which burned about $40 in gas a day) but it also knocked out our well, so that meant driving up to my mom's office to use a bathroom.

Last summer we got to sit in a sweltering house with no air conditioning for five hours because some idiot got the genius idea to throw a baseball at a power grid and knocked out power to my entire hometown and parts of the next city over.

I don't really see an advantage to them. If I wanted a power cut, I'd just turn all the lights and heating off and switch off electronics, then sit freezing in the dark. Great fun!

The initial loss of power usually irks me, then I realize it's a good excuse to play 3DS lol.

I think power outages can be really fun. Especially during the day.

I think it definitely gives you some perspective on what it would be like if we didn't have all the technology that we're used to. It's actually surprising how much fun you can have without it. Lets face it though, who doesn't rush straight back to their computer when the power comes back on? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
