He's officially the 44th president of the United States of America...

    What do you think?

Even though I'm a republican, I still support him, as I do with any president who guides our country...it may not mean I like him, or view his views with passion, but damn it, he's leading my country, so he gets my support.

According to the news people, the guy reading it to him flipped some words and that is what threw him.

Very moving. Shed a tear at some parts.

    Enjoy your new President, America.

Wow! I couldn't help but think how packed that place was when they kept showing wide shots of everyone.

Yeah. They showed two pictures (2005 and then 2009) taken from the same angle and covering about the same about of ground. It was amazing.

I didn't catch the speech, but I appreciate that fact that we have a biracial president. No more white elitism! I hope he does a good job, too.

We all watched it at school. At first, our calc teacher wasn't going to let us, but there was a near riot. He caved after we started our assignment.

And I thought he gave a great speech. A very moving moment. Even the people who didn't like him thought it was a great speech.

I personally did not vote for Obama but I am willing to give him a chance. I like his choices for his cabinet. I am glad he is in office now so he can get down to work, so we can have work done on the many issues the country faces. I hope he is our best president ever.

Yeah, John Roberts flipped some words around and spoke out of turn, which caused both guys to misspeak. It wasn't Obama's fault, entirely.

Bush got about 300,000 to come to each of his inaugurations. Obama got 1,500,000.

We watched it during Algebra 2. Like Nodnarb we almost didn't watch it, the teacher wanted to go over this review work we had, but we finished with that right around 11:00 and luckily they started late. And I didn't have to watch Rick Warren! Thank all that is good, because if I had, I probably would have lost my appetite right then.

The term "nonbeliever" for atheists is kind of like "crossdresser" for transvestites - it's technically accurate, but possibly rude depending on who's listening. But at least he acknowledged us, and the fact that not everyone in the country is a Christian.

Unfortunately the lunch bell went off during the last few minutes of his address and there was no option of staying behind in the classroom to finish, but at least I got to see it.

And now I'm off to watch the video of Aretha Franklin, since I missed that part.

Unfortunately, I was stuck for two hours in a coach coming back from a school outing whilst the whole thing was going on, though I managed to keep up to date with texting between my mum.

    My sole thoughts: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

I don't think I've smiled so much in one day, seriously, when I finally got home and was watching the TV, I was going a Cheshire Cat   When we were watching him parading down to the White House, I felt really proud and happy, as though the world has started to turn around. He knows how to connect with people and I'm certain that he'll keep his word on what he aims to do.

    OBAMA FTW

i'm still a little cautious of this guy. i don't mean to sound weird but i still think he's the anti-christ. just my personal belief. i've been keeping tabs on things he says and whats been going on with him and it just scares me. he's going to have to prove his worth before i celebrate.
