This is so random but it's bugging me! X I'm a slim guy, and these two 100% cotton button ups that I got online fit me perfectly everywhere... except they sit riiiiiight below where my jeans start. They're somewhat short in vertical length. Same with my 100% viscose shirt. What I'm wondering is, if I washed these shirts like once every two weeks, as I will wear them fairly rarely, will they shrink over time? I don't want to find that these nice shirts become unwearable in a couple of months. Thank you!
I faced the same trouble with my white undershirts. Medium fits me perfect in every aspect, including length, but they eventually would shrink and fit me around my waist . To combat this, I wash all my undershirts in cold water. I add Oxyclean to keep them white. Then, I hang dry them on a rack I bought at Walmart. If hang drying is too much work, use the LOWEST setting on the dryer.
Wash cold and hang dry to avoid the dreaded shrink Any heat will shrink the cotton fibers, and even one time drying is too much for some fabrics. I've found this out a few times unfortunately.
