It's kinda hard to believe that after eight years, it ends and he goes back to Texas and that's it, but...it is.

I've been waiting for this for so long now, I feel like I should be more excited. I think it'll take awhile for it to sink in.

I seriously question the sanity of anyone who thought he was a decent president.

I said good riddance to Clinton, I said good riddance to Bush. In 8 years I will say the same to Obama and in 16 years the same to his successor.

Presidents are like CEOs no one is ever sad to see them go.

    Former President Gerorge Walker Bush…

It's too hard to believe that he's going to be booted out of the White House. I mean, really. It felt like it was never going to happen, being that he's been around most of my life.

Today in more than half of my classes we watched the inauguration itself, it was pretty exciting, especially considering the change

You're right, most president's approval ratings are low near the end of their terms...

I'm not Bush fan but I actually felt kind of sorry for him today. It must of felt horrible to have to appear in front of all those people today knowing you are so unloved.

I feel bad for him, and I have respect for him. A lot of it.

He did his best, and while we may (glbt community) not see eye to eye, he still led us through some of the worst events in this nations history (9/11 mainly), and I completely respect him for that.

    Good-bye.

(I still didn't like his 2nd term though lol)

I feel sorry for him in the same way I felt sorry for Sarah Palin - to appear in front of such a large crowd, especially with your wife and children, and to get booed by the majority of them is a big ego breaker. But that certainly doesn't excuse picking the USA up like a jigsaw puzzle and punching the back so all the pieces fall out.

And yeah, presidents often leave with low approval ratings, but not many leave with approval in the twenties.

I really am sorry that his presidency did not work out better. I liked him as the Governor of Texas. I thought he did a pretty good job, and really improved the state. He was much better than this yokel we replaced him with.

I knew during his second campaign, that any chance of him being a good President was gone. It is my honest opinion that Bush had the ability to be an excellent President. He messed up in picking his cabinet, and gave them too much leeway.

I will admit I voted for Bush, and I voted for Obama this time. At the time I thought they were the best person for the job. All I can say is that I hope Obama does not let us down.History will tell if he was a visionary and uniter, or just a used car salesman.
