Just out of curiosity, and boredom, that too.

Personally, I only ever smell something if it's relevant to the dream or sets the scene. For example, damp or mould even if where I'm sleeping at the time isn't particularly mouldy. It doesn't happen very often though.

    Yeah....

    And let's go! :eusa_danc

I'm not sure. A lot of my dreams focus on sight, emotions, hearing, and sometimes pain. I don't remember ever smelling anything in my dreams.

Yep, it does happen. I tend to smell a musky/earthy smell when I dream of forests; sometimes, there has been an antiseptic smell if it's a dream in a hospital/dr's office, or, there have been dreams with food and wine, and those also have smells to them. And also, sexual dreams often have a scent component, of how the other guy smells.

So it happens sometimes, though only in certain dreams, and not always. Maybe in about 10-20% of my dreams???

    Hm.
I can't remember exactly smelling something, but I'm lucky to remember a dream at all. Often I just know I dreamed something, but can't think of what.

I'm pretty sure I have smelled something like just fresh air, or how it would smell after it rains from the main dream I remember.

    Yeah, not often but sometimes.

Usually smoke, iron, and sort humid/dampness?

Yes, if relevant to the dream. Pretty similar to HuskyPup actually... Earthy smells, hospital smells and food smells... Those are the main three. Maybe also flowery or perfume like smells once or twice... Pretty sure I smelled blood and sweat in a recent dream where I killed someone. >:3 Not kidding. It smelled freaking disgusting. So don't go killing people--- be it in dreams or RL.

Also I don't smell in my dreams very often.

Come to think of it, not really. I just kinda see and hear things. Never taste or smell or feel anything.

I don't think I've ever smelled anything in my dreams. I have, however, heard music in my dreams that I've never heard before. Or heard languages I don't know. I recall talking in Japanese to another person and I was so fluent and I understood everything I was saying and what they were saying, haha.

No. I dream a lot, but can't remember one which involves smell. Interesting question.

Nope, I don't think so. Which is weird because my dreams are so vivid and memorable.

Nope, never experienced smelling in dreams before. But I only dream with seeing things, like, I talk, but without speeking and hear without hearing if that makes sense to you. Ijust talk but there are no voices. Gosh this is hard to explain.

Haha, I'd like to change my answer on my previous post. I actually did smell something in my dream last night. It was the smell of a nursing home, and I was there for a job interview for some reason. It wasn't a pleasant smell, but anywho... there ya go.

I usually have vague memories of smelling food in my dreams and getting hungry. Guess that shows what kind of person I am. Lol.
