You have to watch one of these. They both are 4 hours long and you have to warch everything. Now pick. 1) A incredibly made and highly heteronormative movie that doesn't portray non-heteronormative sexual identities in a good light at all. It's a movie which doesn't benefit those people with such identity one bit. It actually harms the reputation of aforementioned people. 2) One of the worse movie in the world that actually portrays aforementioned people in a good light. This is a movie that you wouldn't wanna remember because it is so bad.
I would watch the first one. I'd rather watch a good movie and critique it for its homophobia than watch a bad movie and critique it on every single aspect other than the homophobia.
Just because the movie doesn't benefit gay people doesn't necessarily mean it harms them I don't think, and the movie itself is well made, so I go with that one.
First one. If it's a good film outside of that, it'd be a bit less painful to watch. Plus, I can more than likely chip in some smart ass comments about the homophobia throughout the film to make it more enjoyable.
First one. Honestly, when watching it, I probably wouldn't even notice the lack of LGBT representation, or if I did, I would just suck it up and enjoy the film.
The second one. When I watch films at home, me and my brothers always comment on them, and it would be less annoying for me if the movie was bad than if it were homophobic. At least when a movie is bad, you can laugh at how ridiculous it is.
