i heard obama has had to retake the presidential oath in private today as he messed it up so bad there was actually genuine worry that he wasn't legally installed,so they did it again to be sure! You would have thought you'd practice that over and over again wouldn't you lol...

well i think he messed it up lol..he jumped in too early at the very start,then forgot his words in the middle and had to have the line read again to him :P tho i spose he was probably raaather nervous,i would be lol

He jumped in too early, but he didn't forget the words - he hesitated because faithfully was in the wrong place and he didn't know which version was correct. Turns out he said the wrong one, put faithfully at the end instead of the middle, and retook the oath out of being overly careful. Third US president to do so, so it's happened before.

But that wasn't what happened. Chief Justice Roberts read him the oath wrong.
