Why you choose your username!

    As some may have noticed, I recently changed my username from EmOfSuburbia to DreamerBoy17!
    When I joined the site over a year ago, I believed myself to be female, and used Em as a shortened form of my name. This recently started causing me some discomfort, so I decided to change it. "Dreamer" because I'm a cheesy little shit, "Boy" because duh, and "17" because it's my favorite number!

    Why'd you pick your username?

    I was obsessed with My Chemical Romance, when I stumbled upon this forum.
    I just cooked up something,
    MyChemicalRomance was too long for a username, so I shortened it to mychemromance and added 99 as its my favorite number.
    And so, mychemromance99 was born :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :grin:

    It's the name of one of my favorite 90s songs and I'm obsessed with 90s music. But it's also a reflection that at the time I was only partially happy with where things were in my life. Things are definitely better now than they were when I picked the name but I still like it and I'm not changing it

    I usually use a typically feminine name, and for once wanted something that I at least consider gender neutral considering music notes have no gender.

    good question! I was going to use a song by Blind Guardian called Another Stranger Me cause i couldnt get it out of my head and thought 'hey that makes sense with whats happening' but when I had writen AnotherStranger thought "hey that makes sense for a forum user"

    I love phoenixes and think I'm like one myself, rising out from the ashes, trying to be something new, leaving my past behind.

    The username - Phoenix was taken so I added 77 to it. Never occurred to me to try only 7 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. Hence 77.

    What a wonderful thread.

    I'm actually really picky when it comes to usernames. Once I spent two months thinking a good username for one site. Yep, crazy I know. But this one actually came quite easy. I wanted it to relate into foxes 'cause foxes are wonderfull, and cunning, and sly. It just popped in my head after awhile and I was suprised that it actually ment something an acoustic decoy used by british army

    So yeah. I'm a decoy :grin:

    I used to be ClassyMan86 because of certain other associations. A nickname given by friends in high that grew into something else, not important. I have matured since then.

    Now, I am DougTheBicycle!

    Doug, because Doug. The because I needed a conjunction. And bicycle because I'm bi and I enjoy mountain biking.
