Is being gay wrong? I am a Christian and the bible says it wrong. So do I go to Hell?

the bible says alot of things are wrong. besides christianity is based on one rule "love one another"

Because it is up to people how they interpret the words of the bible in this day and age. Even though I'm not religious at all I will give you this advise, remember - God didn't write the Bible, people did.

Because people take the Bible too seriously, and they pick and choose what to believe. The Bible says homosexuality is wrong, but it was written by men, not God. I think that the Bible's true message is universal love.

More than one person wrote the Bible, but yes the Bible is based to some degree on what the author of each book thought.

It is what was thought of ,at the time. The bible has been written and rewritten so many times. It's "supposed" to be the word of God,but men wrote it. They surely put their own feelings and thoughts in there. Don't worry,God loves us all. That's what God is about. Not hate and hell.

you got to remember that the bible wasn't written until around 70 years after jesus and then most of the scripture was thrown out because it "didn't fit" with what the early church beleved to be right.

I've taken 12 years of Catholic education. Every priest I've talked to says morally they cannot condemn homosexuality in itself. There's nothing wrong with it. The real problem is since there's no sex outside of marriage and marriage is between a man and a woman, gay sex is premarital and a sin. The fact that it's not straight is just an added reason for them to not like it, the church and people in general are afraid of what they don't understand.
Being gay isn't wrong. In my opinion, neither is gay sex.

Like my Philosophy teacher said, if you want to know what's in the Bible you better be prepared to learn Hebrew, Aramaic, and Latin to get the original gist of it. Have a read of this entry on the Resources page. The Bible wasn't written by God, it was written by homophobic men thousands of years ago, and so much of it is irrelevant to this day and age.

The bible has been edited sooo much by man that the version we read today is very far fromits original state. Also when the bible was being created, the powerful men at the time was picking what went in, and what was taken out!!
They even had discussions on "Do women even have souls!" - and so you can see the mind set of the people that put the bible together!!!!
