I think homophobes who are obsessed with gay people are likely to be LGBT. I don't suspect every homophobe of being gay. I only get suspicious if they constantly talk about how much they hate gay people and gay sex.
There are cases of that I'm sure. I remember reading something about strict homophobes having anger/temperament issues.
Well, there is a comedian who said: "I think an homophobic guy is just a guy with a gay inside who's afraid to get fucked" But yeah, most homophobic people are insecure about their own sexuality, or they are religious
I believe that if not all, some homophobes are people who are extremely insecure about their own sexualities. They masquerade as homophobic, just to cover up their own fears.
I don't necessarily think that's true, maybe in some cases. I think they are repressed in a lot of ways. Sexually, emotionally. Queer people represent a lack of repression. Instead of relieving themselves of this toxic way of living they hate others who have been able to do so.
I don't think that just because someone is homophobic, they are actually LGBT. It doesn't add up to me.
Sometimes homophobes will try to deny their sexuality (internalized homophobia) and do that by bashing gays, and stuff like that. I've seen way too many guys who act overly-straight end up being gay.

Hmm, possibly... But that's kind of like... So many atheists are obsessed with religion. Does that mean they're really religious? I could probably argue for that if I wanted to, but I won't because... well, I don't think it's true. And I think the same thing here, I guess. While they might be more likely to be LGBT than the average person (might be), I think it's a bit unfounded to generalize them as such.
I don't believe that either. I'm only talking about homophobes who bring up gay people even when people weren't talking about gay people. Rick Santorum comes to mind. My religious uncle is homophobic, but he rarely talks about gay people. He's more focused on religion and family.
