So..I want to cut my hair short, but I'm not sure if I'll suit it or enjoy it. I also have a twin, and I'm scared we'll be compared and she'll be labelled as 'the pretty long haired one'. I only want it cut into a layered, bit-longer-than-chin bob, but because my hair is quite long now, it's a pretty huge change. >.< Do you guys have short hair, or long hair, and which one do you prefer? Also, does anyone have some interesting extreme hair cut stories? :0
If your concern is if you're going to look good or not, then it depends on how your face is shaped. A pixie cut looks cute on some girls, and horrible on others, so it depends. When you say short hair, what kind of style were you thinking of?
I was thinking of a bit-longer-than-chin bob sort of thing, which is pretty much the shortest I can go without looking terrible. ---------- Post added 27th Dec 2015 at 09:46 AM ---------- Really? Most of the people I know have flowing, long hair. I haven't noticed many who have shorter hair. :0
Oh. Kind of like this? It's definitely a hit-or-miss on people. Do you have a rounder face? Rounder faces tend to work with bobs. I recommend checking out this article: http://hair.lovetoknow.com/Bob_Haircuts
Hi there, Do you have an iDevice? There are a number of free apps where you can try on different hairstyles on your own picture. If you have curly hair, never mind, they're all for straight hair but Pinterest has a lot of cute pics of curly short hair. I recently cut my hair and just showed the stylist the ones I liked, told her I wanted something quick and easy to take care of, looked kind of funky and that flattered my face shape. I'm pretty happy with it.
I was thinking of a longer version of that. :3 My face isn't round, so I wouldn't go with quite that length.
I don't know if this counts as extreme haircut story because it was gradual but within a few months the change was large. I used to have hair down to my shoulderblades, then I cut it to my shoulders, then I cut it into a 'pixie cut'. Best decision I think I've ever made, but that's just me.
I've been thinking of cutting my hair short too and it's quite long now. But think about face shape like someone else said. I've been thinking for my face since it's narrow, for example, that a cut that's really short on the sides and long/gelled up on top would look better for me. Here are some good sites I found about face shape and haircuts: Find the Best Women's Hairstyle for Your Face Shape Find the Best Women's Hairstyle for Your Face Shape So yeah just look at that kind of stuff and make sure you'll like what you get first. ALSO make sure you find a hairdresser that gives good short haircuts if you can. Short hair and layers can be harder to get right and I've heard stories of people getting pixie cuts and it turning out awful at first so they had to go someplace else to get it fixed. Maybe if you meet someone with a short haircut ask them where they go. Good luck! ---------- Post added 28th Dec 2015 at 10:27 PM ---------- Sorry here's the second link: The Right Hairstyle For Your Face Shape : Hairstyles | TheHairStyler.com
Pinterest and searching for someone with a face similar to yours gives you a pretty good chance of likening it on the first try. I had pixies and completely buzzed hair for years and loved it. Then grew it out to mid back just to see what it would be like. Cut it all off again recently after my braid came loose and a large chunk got sucked into a impact driver! Have fun and remember it grows back!
Really? Because when I go to get my haircut it seems like all the girls cut their hair short and talk about how they love the way it looks and that its trending now. I mean idk that's what I heard but ya know I don't really follow trends so...yea
