This is a little bit of a rant, not really a question or anything, so bear with me. I'm just tired of falling for guys who are extremely good looking and obviously aren't going to go for someone who would be considered average looking by most. I find myself falling for another guy who is considered very, very handsome and praised my many; I don't even have the confidence to ask him out in the future because I assume (and can tell from his past boyfriends) that he is going for someone with similarly appealing looks. Anyone else feel my pain?
I understand your pain. People who are truly blessed with good looks.. I envy them. However, what makes you think they won't go for you if you don't try? I mean yes, you can assume based on past relationships, but you can't be certain. What do you have to lose?
I am quite good looking, and I hate it when people get discouraged from speaking to me because of it. Even though I seem vain (I like fashion and makeup) and are indeed pretty, doesn't mean I won't like you! Please give it a shot, you've got absolutely nothing to lose!
I'll just like to add - it could very well be that the reason he's had so much relationships with good-looking people is because only good-looking people were confident enough to approach him. *shrug*
Thanks for the responses Steve FS and Yami, I've just always struggled with confidence so it's scary for me to put myself out there. Maybe I'll get the courage to give it a try.
There's always going to be someone who's better looking in a relationship, so don't be too discouraged. I'm like a 7, but looking back, some guys I dated wouldn't be considered cute or handsome. As long as you're at least average looking (like a 5), it really is about personality.
Ugh. I feel you! In my case I even told him I like him and he said he is not gay... :/ Well at least I know I tried. xD
This is also my biggest issue. I had acne so my self-esteem is extremely low. I've never had a serious relationship because of this and I'm already 21 years old!
