Where did you learn about sex?

My parents taught me about the biological/mechanical part at a pretty young age. I first learnt about what people actually did by "accidentally" playing adult flash games at around nine or ten. I discovered urban dictionary when I was twelve and I learned a lot from there as well.

My mom dragged me and my sister to a public library when I was 4 and my sister 3 and explained the whole thing very thoroughly with the aid of some sex ed books. It was super awkward.

School, it was boring and I had no idea what was happening. They made it sound like the penis and vagina detached from the body and did stuff of their own accord!

My mom gave me one awkward talk when I was 11, although she didn't go into detail. The Internet, Sex Ed, and personal experience taught me the rest. I remember accidentally learning how to masturbate while taking a shower with a removable head while on vacation. Found a place where the water felt really good and before you know it I was taking showers twice a day.

Apparently I've masturbated since I was six. In India toilet paper isn't common (except for hotels) people clean them selves with this removable hose thingy? (Sorry I forget it's name) And I stayed in the bathroom for hours doing it over and over again, because it had this "nice tickley feeling".

When I was 10-11 I had a crush on this boy who had a really high voice and he was short and he loved the color orange. And I thought thinking about him in a romantic way would make me pregnant and I started avoided him.

I learned sex Ed when I was 12, but I was still hella confused. And I thought sex was really unappealing, until I learned that I could be gay.

My parents taught me how babies were made when I was very little, but they never gave me "the talk". One day, when I was around 12, I came home to find two books on my bed. One was about the mechanics of having your period, the other was about sex.
And the rest, I learned from the internet :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

School. TBH, I still don't get everything. I know enough to get by, but that would not be the case if why were straight. I know nothing of female anatomy.

I learned science/anatomical stuff in biology class. I read a lot, and it's through fiction that I got my first exposure to what sex actually meant. I know I read The Lovely Bones at a pretty young age, and I'm sure there were several other novels whose sexual scenes I sort of glossed over without really understanding.

I probably fell across some very mature fanfiction by accident the first time, then continued looking it up out of curiosity. I'm pretty sure fanfiction taught me about safe sex. After that I just Googled whatever I wanted to know.
But there's nothing like hands-on experience...

School. One of the first things they do when you enter, is to teach you about it. By this time, I know some things my parents doesn't know.

I learned most of it from friends and the internet. Mainly the internet. We had sex ed in high school, but it was a joke. We didn't learn very much. The school wouldn't even let the teacher show us how to put a condom on a banana, or bring in condoms or dams or anything to show us what they looked like. We had to stick with pictures and vague explanations and directions. And of course, we didn't learn anything at all about gay sex. Unfortunately.

I didn't get a talk from my dad. He's extremely religious and thinks that sex is something that should that should only happen between married people and not something to be discussed. He was furious that it was mandatory for me to have sex ed.
