Untranslatable words

    I'm really interested in languages, so I wanted to ask you all a question. Can you think of a word in a language other than English that can't be translated into English? If you can, try to explain the meaning as well as possible :slight_smile:

    my favourite weird word is the Finnish "kalsarikännit", which basically translates as "sitting at home alone, getting drunk in your underwear"

    Tagalog word called "Gigil". It can be positive or negative. It's like when you see something cute/adorable or annoying/irritating and you just can't contain yourself.

    クリスマスケーキ (Chrismas Cake) A woman who isn't married by the age of 25. It is considered that women lose their value after they turn 25 like a chrismas cake loses value after the 25th.
