For me, it's 7 km (a little over 4 miles for you non-metric using folks). Because I don't have a car, and the furthest place I can easily reach through public transport in about 30 minutes is 7km away. It's also close enough that I can bike or walk home without too much trouble, if I need to. If I had a car, I'd probably still say "30 minutes," but that would cover more distance. But if I felt I'd really clicked with the person, I'd probably be willing to go a bit further.
Idk. I like people who don't live too far. Maybe 20 minutes. ---------- Post added 16th Jan 2016 at 04:23 AM ---------- Technically I could drive more than 20 minutes for a first date since it's only one time. But they'd have to live <20 minutes away.
I'm not leaving my city for him-but hey, there's 11 million people where I live, so there's plenty of fish.
For me, 15 miles is probably the maximum I would drive. The gay dating pool is already small, so it's really rare that you will find another gay person within 5 miles that would be compatible with you. ---------- Post added 16th Jan 2016 at 03:29 PM ---------- I agree with you, if both parties meet half way, 30 minutes seems fair. 45 minutes is the max.
