    I'm taking a comic book class(Wasn't cheap, trust me >_>) that my Mom got me into. I'm learning how to make superhero comics and whatnot. So far after some brainstorming, my main heroes are going to be various oppressed minorities.

    A gay one(Sexuality group)
    A black one(Racial group)
    A Wiccan one(Non-christian religion group)
    A female one(Gender group)
    And an emo one(I have a friend who is emo and I'm sick of the crap people give them)

    That's the main five chars of it basically. I can't wait to start!

    I just need names for them >_>

  2. In order:

    Gay man.
    Black man.
    Wiccan man.
    Girl man. Wait, no. Make that Supergirl.
    Emo man.

    Superhero names tend to be very creative like that ^_^

    I'm changing the emo one to Goth.

    I decided to make three of them just main chars without powers that hang out with the heroes. The Goth and the Wiccan have the powers.

    Wiccan: Being a witch, this one gets the power of the elements and ability to levitate/fly(Not on a broom!)
    Goth: Dark magics and ability to turn into a gargoyle/demon beast.

    Can you feel my searing jealousy?
    You should keep us/ME up to date on what you are learning. J'adore comics, but my anatomy is molto suckisdo.

    Oh: And as for the super heros, it's way easier to write for one main character. With all these minorities, you will have to have seperate character arcs for all of them! That's all of stuff.

    I wouldn't exactly consider an emo person a "repressed minority" (or a goth for that matter).

    Sounds interesting though.

    YOU NEED A BOB! As in the name. Just because it rocks as a name.
    Bob the Goth.
    Bob the Wiccan.
    Bob the Gay.
    Bob the Girl.
    Bob the Black.
    YOU CAN HAVE A WHOLE COMIC OF BOBS!
    Wow! I'm so weird, but yeah. Have fun! I can't draw to save myself. I quote "Hairy African-American Toilet Tree" - My friend's name for one of my pieces of "art" last year in Art.

    Bob the girl? O.O That's quite interesting. I might make one called Bob since it's an unexpected name >_>, but so far my names go as such:

    Black=Diamond
    Female=Chelsea
    Goth=Fredrick
    Wiccan=Nick
    Gay=Issac

    :grin: I'm also going to give them all powers, except Issac, who is going to be the main character of the comic. =3

    why not make a lesbian chick who is black, wiccan, and goth. Theres ur main character.

    Call her Mary - mary is a symbol most people automatically relate to the lady who gave birth to jesus subconsciously. Considering she is so dark, the contrast would add a lot to the characters personality. She is like a saint... even tho she has all these deviant qualities.

    Another thing to consider. Being black, being a woman, and being gay are all things that you must live with; they are things you are born with. Being a goth or a wiccan are the result of previous choices the character has made. That would add a lot to the characters oddity. which makes that character interesting.

    Superman was an alien (outcast)
    spiderman was a nerd (outcast)
    the hulk was a lab scientist O_O (outcast).

    outcasts seem to make good heroes, so you seem to be on the right track. :grin:. Keep it up.

    Another thing you should ask youself is -- is this character out? do people know he or she is gay. Do people know they have powers? Do they lead a normal life, and at night defend the city from predators?

    wow... sorry if I'm giving too much... I'm a writer myself so I love this kind of stuff.
