    Hey everyone,

I was discussing religion and secularism in my Lit class today, and was wondering what the biggest religion was on EC.

Personally, I identify as Buddhist, and have seen no one else on the forum state that they are and am wondering whether there is any more. I'm fairly new to it myself, but yeah.

I don't know if we're allowed to discuss religion, but if not, mods feel free to close this thread.

Atheism isn't really a religion but it's likely to be the biggest position of religion. I think that religion in the last 20 years has lost a lot of ground by discriminating against gay people. People no longer see them as moral people but as backward arseholes.

    'Other.'

Never have been officially connected with any spirituality and for any doubts I've had can neither consider myself an atheist. I've been interested in exploring different religions, philosophies eventually including Taoism, Buddhism and Gnosticism.

I subscribe to an old local folk religion, it's kind of a mix of Taoism and gypsy culture. We make regular offerings to the gods and try to maintain a karmic balance.

I identify as a naturalistic pagan, so I went with other. But my common core is atheistic.

Joking aside, it's just easier to include it as an option.
Like, if a poll was "How much meat do you eat a day?" then
    "Vegetarian/Vegan" is still a valid answer. :icon_wink

We also give offerings to Saint Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, who qualifies as the father, the son, and the holy steam roller.

Usually I just offer the gods some candy in a marble bowl and light a candle next to a picture of a person who's inspired me or touched my life in some way.

You aren't the only one  I've been practicing Wiccan for a while now, and know quite a few pagans in my local community.
