    Out of 53, only 3 are in Europe.

    Well that is slightly awkward, although most commonwealth countries where taken over by the British in the 1800s. So there are countries that are deciding weather to still be part of the commonwealth.

    I don't think any of them are western European countries. So yeah, it's not surprising. At least there are no anti-gay laws in the country you reside in.
