Hello all you disturbingly beautiful people.
My bday is coming up and usually I hate it when people wish me happy bday or ask if I want anything because my birthday always tends to be a bit overlooked. bit so o asked if it's not too much could I get my ears pierced.

I'm not to big on gifts does anyone else feel this way?

I think it is a great way of celebrating, way more memorable than a book let me put it that way.
I don't think it is too much to ask for, it would probably be cheaper than a day out. A word of advice though use a needle not a gun for it; less risky.

Just be safe/go to a professional.

We used to do our own, an ice cube held behind the lobe and a large darning needle. I had my sons shot with a gun. Good results either way.

I got my ears pierced when I got out of school (private school so no long hair no pierced ears no nothing) and it was cute. I felt like I could finally be myself and share my inner rock kid with the world. It is a good idea to do it for your birthday and I hope you enjoy your new look (*hug*)

As someone who's gotten a couple piercings and tattoos, I think that's an awesome gift! Is this your first piercing?

I've been thinking about getting my right ear pierced, but I'm horrified of how much it will hurt. I saw a baby getting her ears pierced at the mall once when I was a kid and it traumatized me, the baby wouldn't stop screaming when they put this... helmet thing on her and it whirred to life and pierced her ears. So I'm a little reserved about it.

Well, I got three more lobe piercings a year ago (now I have three on the left, two on the right) at the mall, with a gun. The initial piercing really doesn't hurt, it's like a hard pinch, but it stings for 4-5 hours afterwards and upon touch for a few days. But it's really not that bad.

I want a cartilage piercing in my left ear though. But I'm scared about how painful it might be.

I'm personally a big birthday person, I like getting together with friends and gift giving and stuff ^.^

    Hope it goes well, wannahavechange

It will be my first time getting my ears pierced. I'm not really worried about the pain because I have a high pain tolerance.

I second what MCR99 said, and go get them done by a professional piercer and not with a gun just to play it safe.

Just had mine pierced when my daughter got her eyebrow done. I can't due to where I work but I can my ear. It was not bad for pain but it hurts for about 6 months while it heals. Not excruciating, but enough to bug you some. Have it done on the side you don't sleep on that's what I learned! LOL:thumbsup:
