Default Greatest Achievements?

I just got confirmation that my first physical chemistry research article was approved and will be published in the prestigious scientific journal ‘Environmental Science and Technology’! Yay me!

It looks into arsenic transport within soil and its affect on its toxicity to the environment. All my hard work (8 months of 10-12 hour lab work days; and of course blood and sweat hahaha) has finally paid off! I’m so excited!

So I was just wondering what your greatest achievements or proudest moments are? And please don't be afraid to share no matter how small you think your achievement was; we all have our own aspirations and no ones is greater than the next. So what is/was yours?

Probably getting a 75% scholarship to a private school for the full six years of secondary school, or getting three separate scholarships to university. Congratulations, by the way!

Hmmm...at the time it was getting into the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir and playing Belle my senior year in our high school's production of Beauty and the Beast.

...But looking back, those don't seem so big. I think my biggest may have been finding my two best friends that last year in hs. They seem way more important to me than anything thing with school or music. Or anything else i've done for that matter.

From future scientist to scientist, Congratulations!!

Hmmm, my greatest achievement could either be A) being printed in a literary magazine or B) getting paid to play music (thus propelling me into the professional musician category!)

Hmm, odd how none of those touch science... well, maybe another little thing I have was a research project/lab thing freshman year where in a class of approximately 80 students I got the highest score on a project involving PCR and replicating genes.

My greatest achievement is probably giving a speech in a town centre followed by addressing a room full of 60-70 people. Not bad considering I struggled to say my name 4 days before!

Congatulations everyone! All of your achievements make me look mediocre

I guess my greatest achievement to date would be achieving the status of valedictorian and speaking at my high school graduation. I don't really have anything cool, like getting published in a well known, scientific journal though. However, if I keep studying physics, there's always that chance.

My biggest achievement so far is that I am still here and happy. I have been through some rough stuff in my life, and I have seen others that have crumbled going through the same things.

My greatest achievement is still to come. Don't know what it will be, but I'm sure it will be awesome.

Erm... I gave a barbie a mullet. (Biggest acheivement this week). Also my comic-making skills have somehow earned me a small fanbase! (Note: I was giving the barbie a mullet when I was supposed to be working on my comic).

I don't really have many really good acheivements, so I tend to think of small things as my biggest acheivement per week.

A while ago it was "I sewed ears onto a hoodie"

You guys have done some cool stuff!

Probably my greatest achievement is raising my three awesome kids into very well-adjusted young adults who are doing very well for themselves. I am also proud of myself for overcoming my fear of public speaking to do things that I never thought I could do for the glbt community.

My greatest achievement was graduating with honors in college. My family was going through a tough time. My dad had a business that went under and we lost our home. I almost dropped out of college during my junior year and my mom made me stay. I knew that I could not rely on my parents financially after school so I just concentrated on my studies.

Congrats!

I haven't achieved much of anything. I got really good scores on the PLAN test... But that's only Pre-ACT, so it counts for nothing... other than spam mail from random colleges I'm not even considering

I got the highest Leaving Cert grades in my year in school. Pity things didn't quite go according to plan at college!

Paying for my education on my own.
Kicking ass at school.
I do a job that not many people could (or even want to), and I think I'm pretty good at it.
I played Mary in the Christmas Eve play in the 4th grade.
Keeping to my morals and being a good person (no random sexing and drugging)

Some great stuff here!

I was just thinking about some of my other past...well I’m not sure I’d call them achievements but man did I have some weird ones. Here’s a few:

I survived being blown up (ignited magnesium + tap water = bad)

I was thisclose to losing my foot when working with liquid nitrogen

I've made it to my 22nd birthday (this one surprises me...)

I took in a stray cat and cared for it until it past on (it was struck by a car and the jackass left it lying in the middle of the road)

Haha! It’s funny coz my main hobbies are in the arts as well! I love writing; I’ve been working on this one project for like six years now and its totally taken a life of its own... But I find it really calms the stress associated with all the lab work (I use to work 12+ straight hours without a break, six days a week)...Ok I’m depressing myself now - I need to get a job, I miss the lab so much

I brought up two children to their twenties, they are happy, honest and have no known prejudices; they survived changing schools, countries and languages every few years. But I guess only a little share of the credit goes to me.
I was a professional cartoonist for a few years, I have now build up my own business which has kept the family living in comfort for several years, I came out to my wife, I remained faithful to my wife throughout our (so far) 26.5 years of marriage.
