Interesting as to why my threads get taken down

    A few people
    Lately ill post in the political section, and ive noticed that when I talk about my dismay for Hillary Clinton, my thread will be shut down or even just taken down completely. Can someone tell me why? Is there really a admin who takes down my pro bernie sanders threads but keeps up pro clinton and trump threads. This is ridiculous.

    I'm assuming you're talking about the Current Events thread? Because there isn't just a "politics" thread. If you're just posting an opinion, it should probably go in "Chit-Chat," unless there's a specific, current news article that you're talking about.

    Yeah, theyve been in the politics section. The last one wqs a poll asking if hillary was the nominee, would you vote for her, not vote, vite green party or vote gop

    Yeah, I think the current events section is more for new related stuff as opposed to public opinion polls. If you look at the other threads, they've all got an article attached that is then discussed, at least for a little bit. The only other poll there has a video talking about the British PM.

    And if they do consider it an opinion piece, then why not just move it to chit chat, rather than deleting my thread all together? Seems like theres some one whos trying to curb my voice because they dont like my views. I wouldnt care if i was being malicious, but the worst that happens is a back and forth between policy, no personal attacks....ughh, so disappointing that theyre going to silence me because they dont agree with me

    I highly doubt that's the reason. Look around, there are plenty of cases of people not having the popular opinion, and their threads are still up. They might have been taken down accidentally, or are in the process of being moved. I'm sure you're not being censored for supporting Hillary.

    The other possibility is that the topic was too risky/created too much unnecessary argument, or the conversation below had already become toxic.

    Oh no, i dont support hillary. Im for bernie or jill stein.

    Yeah i agree that there are people out there with worse threads, like one supportijg trump and his antigay rhetoric. Thats why im confused. I know Chip commented in the chat, i need to find him a ask him about it too. Seems real suspicious. The thread was only 2 pages deep too

    Well, you could message one of the mods. That would probably be better than just posting a thread and asking the general populace for their ideas as to why a mod would take your threads down.

    I have restored the thread that this was in reference to. It had been hit by the Chinese spammers earlier, so that is the reason that it was gone for a bit. There are some other threads that are still in the process of being restored.

    Also, in the future, this is a thread better suited for the ask the staff section. We will be more likely to notice it there.
