I was at the store one day, and thinking that there's certain things I never buy, that most people, at least here in the US, seem to buy.

For me, the first one that comes to mind is trash bags. Why spend good money on something you're gonna just throw out anyway? So I save plastic bags when I buy things, and take out any trash as it accumulates, and most of the stuff just goes in the recycling bin anyway. So I figure I save maybe an easy $50-$100 or more a year, that could be spent on useful things, like wine.

The next one: Deodorant/Antiperspirant. I don't sweat much, and it makes me break out. I just rub on some ginger root, and that seems just fine, and I always have it around.

OK, so what things do you never or hardly ever buy or use, that you see most people buy or use?

Firstly huskypup, I bet you smell all man! Are you talking about an actual chunk of ginger root? Like the kind you would use in cooking? Does that really work and no irritation etc?

In answer to the question, I never buy fabric softener, sweets/candy, biscuits/cookies -unhealthy snacks in general.
I have never bought female sanitary products and I never will but that's probably a cheat answer.

Deodorant: I bathe daily, and I don't sweat much so I never needed it. If it's too hot, I take a shower before bed.

Tickets for soccer matches. Because I really don't care about soccer, even though people all over Europe treat it like a religion essentially. Or a cult, when they star beating eachother in huge groups over a couple stupid players or teams.

Phones. I mean new phones every 2 weeks. I hate smartphones as a phenomenon as a whole, and I avoid using them as much as I can. There's just no appeal to me, as I don't have any errands that I should be able to run at any time, and I also don't have any friends or acquaintances I couldn't spend a second without.

I wish I didn't sweat as much so I didn't have to buy deodorant. Things I don't usually buy are jewelry or high heels. I guess another thing would be nice/new fancy clothes. I get a lot of my stuff from the thrift store cuz I know I'm going to get rid of it eventually. I know I spend most of my money on art supplies though xD I have a real addiction....

Deodorant isn't only for sweat, you know. It's a lot harder to judge your own body odor than it is for someone else to do it. I've known people who insisted they didn't need deodorant, but after being around them I realized...they did.

I don't buy all these wonder cleaning things for the house: I have a brush, a mop and pail and water with normal soap.

I don't buy all these fancy personal things like creams and oils: water and soap has been good to me for over half a century.

I don't buy all these must-have bargains in the store just because I'd be saving money. By not buying them, I save more, and if I don't usually buy them, why start now?
