Okay, I have a terrible cowlick in my bangs that prevents me from doing much in styling my hair, and I've heard that straightening helps with it. Well, I'm getting my hair cut on Tuesday, and I really don't want to cut much off at all, but unless I can find a way to work around that damn cowlick, it will have to go pretty short. So I have 2 questions: 1. How to use the straightener (dunno where the instructions went) 2. Any other tips on taming the cowlick?
Straightening it should help. I always have it set on the highest setting. I work from the top down and around. Just experiment with it. Don't hold it on your hair though, just quick (hold tight) strokes from your roots out. Don't be alarmed if you see smoke
Also, last time I cut my hair, I had it colored, and if I get it dyed again without cutting off what was colored, will it turn out 2 different colors?
I had a cowlick which bugged the hell out of me for years, never used hair straighteners though. I used to cut it off myself (that's absolutely not a good idea).
Okay, it turned out great, straightening my hair every day now:icon_bigg 1. It's a lot less painful. 2. It's a lot smoother. 3. It looks a lot better. 4. It's a lot easier to control it.
Sweet, its a lot of fun. Play around with you, you'll find hundreds of ways to do different things to get the look you want.
You can have a stylist or colourist use a chemical relaxer. Too much flat-ironing/straightening can fry your hair.
