Okay, so I won't be having "lower" or "bottom" surgery any time soon (possibly not for decades) but I'd like to get some biological males opinions.
There are two sugery options: metoidioplasty, and phalloplasty.

Metoidioplasty: small dick using existing skin "down there", but you can get an erection and have normal sensation/feeling.

Phalloplasty: bigger/normal sized dick, a graft of skin is taken from the arm or thigh and a penis is constructed. limited feeling, can't get an erection by yourself (need a pump) but it looks "normal".

Which one would you guys who were born male pick if you had to choose?

i would prolly choose the first one cause you cant beet getting random erection lol jk but the sensation is great, now if i was going to pick i would go with the second one because im WAY into looks but it really depends on your attitude.

I would totally get the first one! no way would i ever want no feeling. the size doesn't really bother me, it's the man that makes the man!

Here's what I thought when I saw these two choices:

Metoidioplasty: small dick using existing skin "down there", but you can get an erection and have normal sensation/feeling.
Less "normal," able to have sex.

Phalloplasty: bigger/normal sized dick, a graft of skin is taken from the arm or thigh and a penis is constructed. limited feeling, can't get an erection by yourself (need a pump) but it looks "normal".
More "normal," but harder to have sex.

Either way, it's a trade-off, (although phalloplasties are a gillion times more expensive). I suppose the latter would give you the aesthetic penis, but the former would give you the working penis. So I guess it boils down to what you really want from this surgery (which, is, duh, a penis, but this time you have choices)---you can have one that looks better, or one that functions better.

If I was in your position, I think that I'd choose the metoidioplasty because it's less expensive and apparently more natural feeling.

Not a guy here, but from the other perspective in sex... a guy with a small dick isn't really an issue for most girls - but there's nothing better to kill the mood than having to work to get it up.

My brain is too fried atm to work out if gay transdude means you're into guys or girls, but I'd imagine most gay guys would agree with me.

to be honest, it's not how big it is but what you can do with it that matters in the sex department, so i would definately go for the first one!!!

Even though I'm a girl.

Most people I know agree that it isn't the size that matters, it's how you use it.
And having feeling down there is much better than having a bigger penis.

But in all fairness I would go for the one with feeling.

I would vote for the first one too but I would suggest that you talk to some other ftm transgender folks before making any kind of decisions. Get some other opinions. Its really hard to say since none of us have ever walked in your shoes.

I just wanted to note that when i read it from the over look of all the sections it was kinda initially scar to read "FtM Lower Surgery" paired with "firecausesburns"
bad mental images....
