Which do you prefer, odd or even numbers? Personally, I prefer odd numbers, with the exception of the number 10
Anything that's huuuuuuge. Googology all the way ~ Like TREE(3), Rayo's number... Graham's number is odd, if that counts.
Well, 3 is my favorite number ('cause i was born on the third day of the week which was also a day i always looked forward to when i was younger, on the 13th day of the 3rd month, and a few other long and boring reasons...) but, aside from 3, i prefer even numbers. But just because odd numbers peck at my OCD somehow... (*´∀`*)
Even numbers know how to share, they're more generous. I have a feeling I'd get along better with an even number than an odd number
Even. Odd numbers are bad luck, especially 3. The luckiest numbers are 4 and 8. 13 is an OK even number, as 1 and 3 total 4. But I don't trust odd numbers! I also see them as Christian symbols, so perhaps that's part of it, where 4 and 8 seem more Pagan and/or Eastern.
Even and odd numbers must learn to live together equally and in harmony if the number world is to remain balanced. Parents shouldn't love one child more than another should they? As a lover of Maths, it is against my will to choose a favourite.
The results of this poll don't surprise me one bit. I bet everyone who voted even numbers also considers blue to be their favorite color too Since I've always been an "against the grain" type of person and I don't think I've ever had what can be described as a "popular opinion" in my life, it also doesn't surprise me that I much prefer odd. Odd numbers are much more colorful in my synesthetic mind: the evens are all shades of yellow, the odds are the other colors. Odds are also the prime numbers (with the exception of 2), the building blocks of all other numbers. It's good to be a bit odd
You have to be odd to be number one. However, because of my obsession with symmetry, perfection, and order, even is also very appealing in most "real life" circumstances. Like there simply must be an even number of eggs in the egg carton (arranged symmetrically of course). But I like the quirkiness of odds, to defy the rules of smooth evens. And some of my favourite numbers (3, 7, 11) are odd.
Completely agree. Furthermore, by the same-esque reasoning, as I math major, I cannot say I have a favorite. ---------- Post added 8th Apr 2016 at 05:19 PM ---------- Given that prime numbers are all odd numbers, for the exception of two. That being said, the choices given imply prime numbers.
