| Guest Posts: n/a | Hey, "I now pronounce you chuck and larry" was a funny one. On the more serious side, "prayers for bobby" I thought was great, but good for a few tears. That ones not out on dvd yet, but iTunes has it for download. I saw a preview recently for a movie coming out soon. Its called "milk". Sean penn plays an openly gay male running for a big office. Not sure if its president or what. Was gonna look for some more trailers after work tonight. Those are the only ones I can remember so far. |

Penn plays a San Francisco alderman who was the first openly gay person to hold a major office. he was murdered in the city hall. That was a great movie!

I found 'in and out' starring Kevin Kline and Tom Selleck really funny. It's old now, but maybe still worth a second view though. Another 'oldie' with a superb gay stereotype 'hammed up' performance was 'Mannequin'. The actor brilliantly playing the part of a gay effeminate character with the hillarious name 'Hollywood' was hardly mentioned in the credits, but without his performance the film ain't worth a penny (dime). | Guest Posts: n/a | Boy's Don't Cry--Very provocative. It's about a gender confused lesbian who's life is less than...fabuluss. BrokeBack Mountain- Can be hard to stomach at times. While I did think the overall story was okay, some of the scenes seemed to mis-portray male gay society in my opinion...or support that small minority that acts that way. And the lisps got on my nerve very fast. I think it was too gay for my taste, but that might just be me. Oh, and the kiss scene where Jake freggin SUCKS HIS FACE OFF was a little tacky...I thought it was going to turn into a hardcore porno scene. (though there is a little of that in there, be advised) Prayers for Bobby I have yet to see but I only hear good things about it. I also recommend Erin Brokovich; by the end of this movie, you'll wanna kick some dominant white male ass, raise 5 kids, live in texas, do what ever the hell you want, and feel sexy all the while. I also recommend Fried Green Tomatoes; a very, VERY enticing story of love, time, and comming of age...also about not feeling good in your own body. It can teach you a lot. Its a good ol southern style movie with a hint of intrigue. I also (stfu I know I said this three times) recommend Black Snake Moan: This was perhaps my FAVORITE movie with Christina Ricci, Samuel L Jackson, and Eeek...Justin Timberlake. It's about an abused girl who has sexual...uhh...episodes (we'll just call it that for now) and she's having issues comming to terms with her past. This is an INCREDIBLE movie and its central theme is maturity I think. |

(I watch a lot of movies, so that's saying a lot) It's called C.R.A.Z.Y. and you can watch it instantly on netflix if you have that. Otherwise you should definitely track it down. It's such a great coming-of-age/ dealing-with-being-gay movie! So so so good!!! |

Robin williams plays a dad whos trying to impress the parents of his son's girlfriend.....except robin's wife is actually his husband. so story about 2 dads. really funny Oh also I wasnt sure if you just wanted gay guy films...but "Imagine me and you" is an awesome film about love at first sight between two girls.

"just a question of love" and "get real" are probably my favorite, but "shelter" is pretty good. just a question of love is a french film about a confused guy, i may be biased because i have a huge crush on the dark haired one... and get real is a sad film with a rahter strange ending but a great build up... i liked it nobody else talked about these but i dunno |
