    Hey, all.

So we don't toot our own horns very much, but EC is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. We're run 100% on volunteers (no paid staff at all) and our server costs (which are considerable, given our reach and traffic) are also paid for with donations.

All of the advice, information, support resources, security, and other things that make EC such an amazing place are made possible by volunteers who donate their time, energy, and money to make this amazing community what it is.

Our next stage of growth will involve moving to our new discussion software platform, upgrading our chat facilities, adding better support for mobile devices, and adding a new, expanded content section. All of that costs money. So your generosity will help a lot both in ensuring we can cover the upgrade costs and continue to maintain and expand the resources available to the community.

Donations of any amount are genuinely appreciated. If you wish, you can make an automated monthly donation as well (which you can adjust or cancel at any time.)

If you'd like to donate, you can learn more about what we do and where your donations go here , or make your donation here..

As an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, your donation is tax deductible, and all donations go 100% to basic needs (server maintenance, forum software and script upkeep costs, servers and bandwidth, and so forth.)

A very deep thank-you is due to those of you who have already donated; you've made a huge difference in our ability to grow. And a thanks in advance to those of you who will take the time to make a donation now to help us continue to grow.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to open an ask-the-staff thread to discuss further.

    Thank you!
