Was that a student film because it was awesome! Great cinematography, writing, and acting. I love filmmaking stuff (hence my avatar) so this was really cool to watch. Especially since it's a good rebuttal towards bigots who think they're always right.

Maybe God hates gay people because he's gay but can't get a boyfriend so decides to take it out on every gay person.

No way to prove my answer, obviously, but hating on gay people just sounds like a petty reason to hate after you've been dumped. Like when a girl gets cheated on by her boyfriend and claims she ''hates men'' - she doesn't in the long term, but just so annoyed about that guy who cheated on her, she's hates them in that moment. [Got this from FRIENDS when Rachel breaks up with (I think) Paolo].

I agree with SillyGoose, definitely needed to be longer.

Ugh, my chest. Such feelings to think about that scenario being real! It's a significant work of art that shows not only the folly of "curing" gays, but of the insidious way good intentions can turn absolutely destructive.

"I was thinking... maybe I'm not the one that needs curing."

I've watched this some time ago and really loved it. I was hoping for a sequel when he's older maybe.

I wouldn't say it's Oscar-worthy in terms of acting or script, but it's definitely worth a watch.

It is a little corny, true. Still a pretty great film though. I thought so, anyway.

Reminds me of a lot of how I grew up... but my parents weren't quite on that level thankfully! My mom matured and became sane before I came out, and they never attended Westboro or anything.

I do with this was longer, there's a lot I can relate to and it hits right in the heart.

That was pretty adorable. I kind of wished it was longer though.
