    So I'm watching Zootropolis for the first time. Great movie so far. But when I noticed to gay gazelle couple I totally went mega hyper! :icon_bigg :eusa_clap (!) Even kids movies are becoming more progressive! God bless America!!! :eusa_danc

    I heard about that*, but I haven't seen it. There's also an underlying message about race in it.

    *Basically, I listen to all the fan theories without having seen the show, I don't know why really.

    Its just a bit after the start of the movie. Judy moves into her apartment and ends up having a small moment with her neighbors, two gazelles, who appear to live together. Its pretty awesome!

    That part? It didn't seem to me like they were gay mostly seems like they were in colledge and lived together to save money

    Just finished. This movie is definently going on my list of top movies of 2016. Incredible! Deep story, good morals. LOVE IT!

    When I first saw that movie my gay-obsessed brain went "OMG THEYRE GAY" and then I'm like "okay calm down they're probably just friends moving in together" and this thread made me excited.

    Oh I remember that scene in the theater and wondering about it but I forgot later on. The movie had a great message of equality and tolerance, not surprising they would add such a scene. May there be more in future family films, with less subtlety too.

    Unfortunately, we're only at a part where same-sex couples in big kids movies/shows can only be subtly added. We're not at a point where same-sex couples could be main characters or even obvious for that matter. Still, it's nice that the gazelle couple was added. Haven't seen the movie but heard a lot of good things.

    I could really get used to this, couples simply presented as couples. Not everyone is going to be straight, you know! It's more realistic that way, but hopefully the crazies won't get their panties in a bunch over it.

    ...Also, would have been a funny "inside joke" if they were giraffes, since real giraffes aren't exactly the straightest creatures. Few would get it, but still! :lol:
