    I'm two weeks ahead in math and if I keep up my current pace I can finish the class in three weeks and head right into math 102, and possibly finish it this semester as well. That makes me feel pretty damn awesome

    Not today but yesterday I babysat my friend's toddler. I should mention that I am NOT a kid person. I'm hopelessly awkward around them and view babysitting more like a business arrangement. I'm not cold-hearted, I'm just not a very 'cuddly' person in general.

    Anyhoo, this little boy is my favorite. He made me 'chase' him around the house screaming in mock terror, put out his hand and yelled 'NO!' whenever I tried to dance to the Dora the Explorer song, posed for a picture with a bucket on his head (I had one on mine, too), and asked for a big hug and kiss (which I found myself naturally doing) before dutifully going down for a nap.

    He's my reconnection with childlike joy, something I have been sorely lacking lately.

    I watched the first movie from my home country (Germany) and it was hilarious and managed to get me thinking. I'm still thinking about it this morning which hasn't happened in a long time.

    Finally a perfect temperature and breeze and I fell asleep on the porch in the swing for a few hours. Then the neighbor decided to cut their grass. Hahaha.

    Talked to my partner on the phone who listened while I vented about my family and then supported my decision to join a lesbian/bisexual women-only karaoke meetup group. He's such a great friend. :slight_smile:
