Happens to me every single day! I'm constantly starting tasks only to go off and pick up something else. It makes studying and homework very difficult ahaha.

I quite like that silly analogy that someone made, that those tasks we drop or forget about were cancelled tasks by some higher power like in the Sims lol

Well, right now I'm supposed to be making exam notes on Major's Conservative government. This is my "break", except it's lasted for about half an hour.

    Yes.

Some time ago, I made some soup and even put it in a bowl and everything. I wanted to let it cool off a bit, but I forgot about it and saw it again right before going to sleep.

I ate it anyway, but it was really cold by that time xD

All the time. I go to do one thing and then end up doing something else, completely forgetting the first thing; especially when I'm working on a new piece of art or story. Just the other day I went to make my bed, then got distracted halfway through. Never did get around to making that bed.

I have an exam the day after tomorrow on 19 plays and 26 films. I have spent the last two hours in the EC game arcade without even realising.

This happens to me whenever I have to study for a test that I'm either super-prepared or wayyyy under-prepared for. I get my binder/notebook out and then put my headphones in to listen to music right before seeing a video I want to watch (I listen to music through YouTube) and spending at least 30 minutes doing that instead. Then I go "O shit, I forgot about that" and open Edmodo to give myself the illusion I'm doing something. The I open another tab (usually to EC). This goes on for a while.

Yes. It happens to me often if I have more important things on my mind. Once I put some soup in a pan on the stove and turned on the burner to heat it up. Unfortunately my mind was pre-occupied--I came back later to find it had completely burned in the pan and the whole kitchen smelled like burnt food. It was a pretty epic fail. :icon_redf

Yeah, it's happened before but I try to keep on top of my cooking so nothing like that happens again.

Oh yeah, all the time...truly annoying and potentially dangerous. Now I set the timer on my iPhone ALWAYS, even if it means just setting it for 3 minutes. It is remarkable how fast I forget!

It also seems men are worse at multitasking than women (or maybe we are generally handicapped in kitchen-related issues).

I've done that while grilling food before, and I regretted it deeply. Nothing smarts like burnt steak.

It's called walking into a room and forgetting why you went there in the first place.

Happens to me all the time. Once I went onto Facebook and got too invested on it that I burnt my grilled cheese.

  18. Heh.. done that with cooking. I'm just thankful my smoke alarm is overly sensitive.

Wait, all you cooking people - for real? Damn, cooking is one of the few areas where I never lose my focus on what I'm doing. Maybe that's because I won't leave the kitchen if I'm in the middle of making something, though.
