I wish I knew. It's really frustrating to meet someone, and become interested in them- but not know if it's okay to say anything to them...

If the person is in the closet, I watch their reaction when they're called gay (I'm in high school, it doesn't take long in any conversation for that to happen). If they flinch, blink or look at their feet, or just generally appear uncomfortable, it's a fairly sure sign.

I don't know any other gay people who are out of the closet apart from myself, so I couldn't tell you how to identify one of them.

1- I noticed that some gay people at my school have the stereotypical gay accent o.O
2- most boys I know that wear skinny jeans and make-up turned out gay
3- hand motions are key, if the hands are all over the place, or constantly land on the hips
4- well, if there are two girls or two guys kissing in the hallway, well, that doesn't take gaydar to figure out
5- if boys are waaaaay too friendly (with each other) XD

oh and what I don't get is why if two girls kiss on the cheek or lips, it's dismissed, but if guys did it, they'd be called gay

that's not cool

sorry but aren't these all just sterotypes that you're looking for?

I always thought a "gaydar" was more intuitive?!

I agree, I think "gaydar" is more intuition. Sometimes when I meet a guy, I know very quickly he's gay and Im sure he knows it about me! Hard to explain why, just intuition!

yeahh i know
i dunno
there just got to be something that makes you think hmmm
like theres this one girl i like
one out of the 3
shes very shy
iv never heard that shes had a boyfriend
a friend of mine is in the same form as her, and he was talking about me to this other girl
and she butted in and goes "isn't she gay?"
i dunno, she may just be curious about me but whenever shes around i feel like shes looking at me
but i dunno
its either my hopes being put up
or there is something about her
so im just curious to know if theres any thing you look for in trying to spot them out

I'd also like some tips. ^^; In general I think it's harder to tell about females then it is about males.
