Hey guys, I've been on here for a while, and though many topics have been made on this before, I didn't see one up recently, so I have to ask- What religion, if any, do you guys "identify" with? Personally, I'm an Atheist and proud to be one because the environment I grew up in was extremely religious, and as a pursuer of logic, I am happy to say that, since I can't find any evidence for a god, I am happy to not believe in one. :/ Of course, not everyone takes the same course in life as I do, so it's fine if you guys believe... Anyway, what do you guys believe in and why? Please specify your specific denomination if you have one. Thanks!

I'm techinically Hindu, but I'm not overly involved in religion... I like logic and science, but I do enjoy mythology as well, as long as it isn't used as any sort of fact.

    I identify as a satanist, but I don't follow it to a T.

Hizaki, I think you should look up the terms "agnostic", "Atheist", and "Deist". Those terms don't define a religion, and I think you might find that you are one of those three things. Of course, you don't NEED to label yourself, but what you said makes me think you fit into the "agnostic" category...

But as far as I know, agnosticism can be seen as "I have evidence for or against, therefore I need not worry", can't it? I'm actually just not sure right now.

Um, actually, agnosticism is a spectrum between "There is no evidence for either, thus I can't make a decision." or just "I'm unsure." ...Actually, that's not much of a spectrum... Anyway, yeah, by the technical definition, you'd fit into the "agnostic" category, but if you don't feel comfortable calling yourself that, it's fine. :/ I just thought you should know that by definition you fit.

I've just began to research a lot into Paganism. My partner is a pagan, but even before I started dating them I found myself drawn to paganism.

On the surface I'm an atheist. But deep down I wonder sometimes.

Naturalistic Pagan (who still strongly abides by the philosophy of Satanism)

See, I didn't add Pagan to the list because there's no "requirements" to be pagan. Like, each Pagan worships different things- there's different denominations, but those denominations might as well be entirely different religions, considering they often don't even worship the same things- some don't "worship" at all, depending on your definition of worship... I don't know. I just put Pagan as "Other", because I felt it was too non-specific.

    "Other" through and through.

I am a non-religious theist. I believe in a god of sorts, a creative intelligent metaphysical entity that exists on a separate plane of existence beyond the material. But it isn't the god of any specific religion. In many ways I believe that all religions ultimately derive from an attempt at comprehending this same entity (I reject the "exclusivity" principle of most religions, in other words).

I'd encourage you to look up the term "deist".

I know what deism is, though I've never appended that label to my own beliefs. I don't reject revelation as a source of divine truth--rather I believe all religious revelation may have some truth in it. My beliefs overlap with deism to some degree, but they also have much in common with Unitarianism.

I know, but if I lifted every religion that wasn't a major one, we'd be here a long time...
