I wasn't sure if this is a frog or a toad (He didn't feel slimy, more coarse and rough (and cold, obviously), so I think this is a small toad). But here is the little handsome charmer: (No, I didn't kiss him :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:).

Cute. Be sure not to touch them too much though, it's bad for them, apparently (the slime can dry out or something like that, although you said he didn't feel slimy so yeah idk).

I picked him up, took the picture then put my hand through the palisades and released him in the grass next to the river. Gave him a little nudge and he hopped away

Last week I saw a snake biting a toads leg and the toad trying to hop away with the snake on his leg

Cool! For some reason before I clicked on this thread I thought a "toad" was an insult for someone. Like you saw someone being an idiot in some way. Was pleasantly surprised

Cute little guy ^^ Don't see many toads where I live. Several loud Canada Geese though haha.

Cute little guy. Sometimes I'll see frogs and toads by my door when it's humid outside. There's actually a lot of wildlife where I live. One of the cool things about living in my state.

I dont see toads much, but i occasionally see fair sized Broad Headed Skinks where i live.

I often find these lizards right next to the house.

In my mother's backyard lives a giant toad, as in larger than an open hand. It will get in the house from time to time.

Lol, glad it was pleasant. I reread the title after posting, and it sounds like I'm saying "I found a toad WALKING outside" at work... As in, the toad was walking, not me

Should've added a comma after "toad" - Oh well.

Oooooh, wish I could find one that big. I've always only seen them in pictures. Would LOVE to hold one of those bad boys. I've had toads pee on me before, and surprise-surpise: I didn't get any warts. An old wives' tale to get kids to leave toads and frogs alone and not give the rest of the family heart attacks as they're running away

Speaking of running away... When we were planting the new roses, my brother-in-law and I found a few earthworms, and cutworms, and we picked them up and chased my sister around, lol. She's scared of moths too, so you can imagine all the fun we have  One of my cousins is afraid of those little brown beetles (Apparently they're scarab beetles. The albino ones look fiercer than the plain brown ones though. Couldn't find a picture of those).
