I'm a lesbian and a Christian, I have some gay friends who ar Christians too. I just have a hard time believing God hates us for loving and I think he made us this way. Are there any other LGBTQ Christians on here?

Yes! God loves everybody regardless of who they love or what they identify as.

How is it even possible? Leviticus 20:13 is clear about the view of the religion about lgbts.

Others here might disagree with me as I do not take a literal view of the Bible but to me, we know the Bible was written by humans and we also know that humans are flawed, we also know that at different times there were different moral standards than our own. When writing Leviticus for instance they didn't have all the history of gay rights and the like that we have now. Christianity for me is about living my life in a way that I think God would be happy with, and I think in those times people put that in the Bible because they did not think God would be happy with homosexuality, as at that time I don't think there was this idea of "gay people" as much as there were "people with perverse ways of getting sexual pleasure". They thought sexual immorality was wrong and as gay sex wasn't the standard sex only for procreation obviously that's gonna be a big red flag.

Personally since like I said the Bible is based on a different set of standards, I don't think it's necessarily about following it to the letter but it's about taking the principles of it and applying it to modern life. With that in mind I don't think being LGBT and being a Christian are at all conflicting.
