I know it may not belong in here.
But its where im putting it.
This is the poem I wrote for my friend.

For my dear friend whom had ended his life.
    I miss you dearly.
    May you rest in peace.
May the afterlife be the after party you thought it was.

Do you believe in happy endings?
    For he did not.
But he was one for so many.
    Do you believe in hope?
    For he did not.
But he gave it to so many.
    Do you believe in happiness?
    For he did not.
But he spread it around like fire.
    Do you believe in love?
For his broken heart did not.
    But he caused it so.
    Oh my friend.
I finally wrote your poem at last.
I’m sorry this one came out so sad.
I’m sorry it came so late.
    Too late to stop you.
I hope this poem will reach your ears.
All my tears have been shed for you.
    All my heart for you.
    I miss you so.
    I’m sorry I couldn’t stop you.
Do you believe in the mending’s of human hearts?
    For he did not.
But he sewed so many back together.
    My friend.
What demons did you face that made you so hurt?
That made you end it all?
How I long for things to be like they were.
    You may be gone.
But my love for you will never.
    So I'll say.
I finally wrote your poem at last.
I'm sorry this one came out so sad.
    My tears won't stop.
    For my hurt won't.
    I missed you.
And I'll see you when its over.
    But for now I say.
I finally wrote your poem at last.
I'm sorry this one came out so sad.
My guardian angel until the very end.
    I miss you so.

You will never be forgotten my friend.

    i'd hope so
    i worked hard on it
amd usually when I work half heartedly on a poem
    it is seemingly amazing.
this is my entire being in this
    so i'd hope its good.

    Sorry for your loss

You can be there for them, but you can't stop them, it's their choice. I'm sure you did all you could.

Your poem is beautiful. I'm glad you shared it with us on EC.

I also lost a friend to suicide earlier this year. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, feel free to message me.
