I love it. It shows LGBT people in a positive way and teaches kids watching not to judge people by their sexuality through the way Stephen acts. :eusa_clap Also, what is Stephen's sexuality in the show? Haven't been able to watch much because we're in Spain now.
I think you mean "Steven Universe". Regardless, I enjoy the show too. Steven doesn't really have much of orientation yet (as he's still just a kid) but *spoiler alert* he is shown to have a bit of a crush on Connie...so, there's that.
It's bizarre to me to be concerned with a cartoon child's sexuality, but nonetheless it's a cute show.
Steven's orientation isn't mentioned, and since the gems don't technically have a gender, how they identify could be anyone's guess--even if they're coded as bi/gay/queer.
Since the show has consistently shown them as female, that's what I would consider them, even if biological sex isn't a thing for them. But yeah, it doesn't really draw clear lines on gender or sexuality. I am happy that so many kids are getting to grow up with something like this. It does a great job of teaching important lessons without being preachy.
I enjoyed watching a couple episodes of it. I think it's a nice and positive show with vibrant characters, good artistry and imagination, and lots of laughs. A real "gem" if you will. It's not exactly my style so I don't keep up with it at all really, but it is absolutely a quality cartoon.
Okay let's get one thing straight[haha] and its not me[haha]. Steven Universe Wiki makes something clear. Steven likes Connie in a romantic way[look it up].You have no idea how long ive been waiting for a thread like this. Ok and gems are specified as female because they have no gender[and I partially believe that Rebecca Sugar might have a small bit of feminism in her]. Hope Steven Universe Wiki helps you out the rest!
