any dentists on here?

    i have short roots in my front 4 teeth and my canines are coming in crooked angled at the roots of my front teeth...the orthodontist told me i need braces to spread my teeth and pull my canines down..im scared my teeth will fall out from the pressure, anybody have any suggestions (besides seeking a second opinion 'hence this is my second opinion lol)

    Unfortunately, this may not be the place to receive a second opinion - EC doesn't currently have any medical specialists on staff, and we can't allow medical advice to be distributed over the forums, especially when the question involves possibly disagreeing with a qualified medical professional.

    If you really think you're not comfortable with the advice your orthodontist is giving you, then it would be totally fine to seek a second opinion. Your primary dentist may be able to recommend another orthodontist (or dentist, if you feel comfortable asking), or you could simply seek out one on your own - try local listings on yelp, or perhaps look in a nearby city. But that would be the best route to take.
