So I started road cycling and I was wondering if there was anyone else on here who also does it?
It would be great if this newbie could get some advice and tips.
    Thanks

I have been biking on trails in the forest for a while, but I have just started biking places on the road. I am going to college in a few weeks, and I plan for it to be my main form of transportation. If there are no bike lanes, I tend to stay to the side of the road so cars and pass me if there is room. When I am turning, I use the hand signals before I turn, as pictured below:

If you intend to ride when it is dark, or just want to be more visible, you should get lights for your bike: a headlight to help you see and be seen, and a taillight to help you be seen. I got the lights from Amazon.
