Another poll guys, so work with me. Did you come out to more female friends or more male friends?? Or do you think it's even??

I've come out to more female friends. As a matter of fact, I never came out to any male friends at all!

And you??? Just being curious as usual...........

Mostly male friends, but that's because my three closest friends are gay men and I knew they'd understand better than others.

well more male,but thats only coz i have more close male friends. But i came out to my female friends first,so i guess i wouldve come out to more girls if id had more close female friends

...so i didnt vote coz i dont know what i should put

Let me ask the question a little different:

Do more girls know your gay/bi than boys or do more boys know you're gay/bi than girls? Or do you think it's even??

I came out to my best guy friend first, then best girl friend, then mixed groups of people. But mostly over myspace/facebook/AIM so idk..

again..complicated lol. probs girls. but only coz i told my 3 close female friends and then it got out,so now their whole year at school knows!

so technicallyy more girls know,but in terms of who ive told,ive told mroe guys than girls i think. tho probs fairly even. if anyof that makes senese

I answered "even" in the poll, but after reading the amended explanation I would answer that more girls than guys know now. But I "officially" came out to a guy first. My daughter's best friend .. who's gay. It was the right decision.

I guess like two guy friends from high school, then three more from there who were gay. Then like two girls, and that other gay guy overheard.

Now in college, I told that girl from high school, and then my new best friend who is a girl. Her female roommate knows, and then three gay guys and like everyone at that retreat.

Because of the retreat I went to, I'd say it's about even or at least too many to count and separate. I do admit that I didn't want to tell a lot of the girls from my high school, because they had crushes on me. Now that I'm more comfortable with being gay, I guess I'm more willing to just admit to girls.

Mostly guys because most of my friends are guys. I only have a couple of female friends but they're all pretty close, so they were some of the first to know, even if one missed the email i sent out. :P

Once I started coming out, it was pretty much to all of my friends, regardless of gender. It tended to have more to do with general proximity (the people I talked to the most heard first) than gender.
