Yeah, I had surgery on my leg again on Friday, and I just returned to work today. This time my doc debreided the bone and got it back to "bleeding bone," took out the antibiotic rod that was in there, and put a Taylor Spatial Frame on my leg. So now, I have this big goofy cage thing on my leg that I can't really fit any pants over and that I get to have for 4-6 months. We're going to compress the two halves of my tibia together to force them to bond, then we're going to stretch the bone once it's bonded to get my leg back to proper length. But, the infections are finally cleared from the bone, which means no more antibiotics, no more picc line, and that we're finally on the home stretch!
Welcome back. Wow, that is some process. So what are you gonna wear to work every day now? Maybe a sarong :icon_bigg
Welcome back! Sounds like a hell of an operation  From your description, you're ready for a career in medical journalism :eusa_clap. Six months seems like a long time but it will over before you know it. Good luck with the healing process.
It'll be cool after it's all healed. After surgery, though, it hurt as bad as when I originally got hit by that SUV...
