this question is for people who struggled or struggle to understand their sexuality or gender.
do/did you wish that there was a machine which you put on your head and then tells you exactly what you are (your sexuality and gender)??

I remember just thinking a lot growing up that if I had just been born a girl, having feelings for guys would be so much simpler.

It took me a long time to realise that labels do more harm than good. "I am what I aaaam", and so on.

That's how I felt because being the oldest, I'm supposed to be the first to start having grandkids....

    Yes.

Though I think, once you get past all the denial, you really know it deep down. When I was thirteen, I had the though come out of nowhere that I'm a gay guy in a girl's body and it made sense. So...

After awhile it's not even about whether you're gay, straight, inbetween, animesexual, or what have you, it's more about doing what makes you happy and just not caring about how people are that much more interested in me because of my bedroom antics.

Aye... sort of like the Sorting Hat on Harry Potter. Not for me since I'm bisexual I am who I am.

MMM......................my moral side says, "Nah, brah, that would be wrung." but if we're being honest here, yeah that would be f**king awesome. I'm so confused about so many things putting a Harry Potter sorting hat on my head and having it yell out something would be awesome! But unscientific. Unfortunately...

    Yes that would be great!

Edit: What? Does it not let you use Capital letters for more than the first letter of a word...? TESTING
    Edit 2: SO CONFUSED
Edit 3: So it won't let me use all caps for my original post, or have multiple exclamation marks... Interesting.

Hell yeah! It'd be way easier not having to worry about whether I'm right or wrong. Questioning sucks and it's a painful process sometimes.

Hmm, I don't think so. It's like those DNA tests: in the end, it only makes a small difference. It would probably end up listing like five different "right" answers, anyway!

I've been conflicted over both my gender and sexuality over the last year or so. Something that could tell me exactly what it all meant would really help.

I did question for a long time and it was super frustrating because I couldn't have a black and white answer and I wished almost that exact thing. But now I don't think I would want that because sexuality is so fluid and even within a sexuality it's fluid.

It's a filter that prevents you from using nothing but caps, to prevent flamers from being more annoying and what not. It will work IF I WAS TO KEEP THIS IN ALL CAPS but not if my whole post was. /offtopic

Yes. It'd make life so much easier. I've been at it for almost a third of my lifemail and still have no damn clue as to what I am. In some ways I get kinda downhearted when I see people younger than me by almost two years now and are comfortable with who they are and are out to their friends and family...

Yes because puberty is hard enough without questioning back and forth without any definite answers for years

I'd rather discover myself. I've questioned my sexuality for 14 years now. I knew I was bi until then; then I began to wonder if I was a lesbian instead. Now I'm kind of asexual. I don't care that I'm single and don't miss sex at all.

Aah yes, I'd definitely make use of that machine. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I don't expect it to say something I don't know, but who knows! It surely would've helped me in the past, but I'd still want to see some "objective" results now.
